About Solase Farm
Solase is nestled on 8 beautiful acres surrounded by trees and a natural stream that runs through it. The farmhouse was built in 1872. The original floors, stone walls, and wooden beams give a glimpse of the past. The main house has 3 levels. On the lower level, with its own entrance, is our Cozy Country Suite. It has one bedroom, living-dining area, kitchenette, bathroom, and wood burning fireplace. The main level has the Farmhouse Retreat with its own entrance, a great room with a wood-burning stove, and airy patio doors that open out to the wrap-around deck with an outdoor grill for entertaining. There is also a dining room, full kitchen, master bedroom with wood burning fireplace, ensuite bathroom, and an outdoor patio that is perfect for morning coffee, birdwatching, and witnessing spectacular sunrises.
We converted the large pole building into a barn that is home to our flock of free-ranging chickens, and 2 adorable goats Montero, Zelda as well Harley our rambunctious Corgi mix who lives in the house but loves visiting the barn. We have a variety of gardens. Our root hill gardens grow local and international root vegetables like fingerling and sweet potatoes and West African yams. Our lower garden is for a variety of melons. The upper garden has raised garden beds, fruit trees, and berry bushes. Solase has lush open grounds with a pond that is ideal for outdoor activities and small events. There is also a serene winding wooded walking path that circles the property.
The Solase Farm Store allows our guests to purchase farm-fresh eggs, our homemade herbal body washes and soaps, our farm and local produce, and much much more. The grounds have lush open grounds with a pond that is ideal for outdoor activities and small events. There is also a serene winding wooded walking path that circles the property. Whether spending time with family and friends or just you, walking the grounds, waking up to scenic sunrises, or nature's symphony of sounds, Solase is the Perfect Place To Be!
